When the opportunity presents itself to spend the day getting caught up on office projects and client deliverables (without running from meeting to meeting), I embrace the privilege to be a bit more casual in comfortable clothing, albeit still put together. Clothing that not only provides the convenience of layering, but feels great and looks good whether I’m at my computer all day, or have to head out for an impromptu meeting. Who doesn’t always want to feel good no matter what you are wearing – especially when the sun is shining?
On this particular day, I had a couple quick errands to run before diving into my “catch-up” work day. I decided to pack my computer, so that instead of coming back to my home office I could stop by Thom Bargen (the local coffee shop) to get my work done. And, if lucky, I would sneak in a tea with a girlfriend before the day was over. I immediately reached for a recent outfit of mine from Mondetta’s MPG fall line, slid on a pair of sneaker mules, and “just in case” threw a pair of heels in the car (should I get the call to meet a client).
I was recently introduced to the fall line of Mondetta’s MPG Wear – and I love it. It’s quickly become my go-to on days like this as well as evenings, weekends, and days with travel requiring flexibility, fashion, and function. MPG offers super comfortable, quality pieces that are reasonably priced and can take you from casual to business-casual or from day to evening (by adding different shoes and accessories). Plus, these pieces don’t crease when I roll them into a weekend bag or carry-on – a major bonus! They’re great as an “outfit” or worn separately with other items or outfits. I’ve worn the jacket with jeans and a boot, as well as the sleeveless mock-neck top. The pants can be casual or dressed up with a heel and blouse. Add a scarf to the jacket for some extra warmth on cooler days or just for a pop of colour (depending on your mood).
It’s great to get “caught up” but even more so when you can do it comfortably, confidently, and with a smile. Thom Bargen’s window states “It’s Always Sunny in West Broadway” – sure makes it easy to slow down, stay focussed and productive and enjoy the present moment sitting there. Especially when you can also glance up, look out into the world and smile at the sun.
Why? Because we can!
